Responsibilities:


  • Conduct maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical and hydraulic systems on the offshore barge, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest safety and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and diesel engine issues, and implement effective solutions to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on hydraulic and diesel systems to identify and address potential issues before they lead to downtime.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance schedules, and ensure that all mechanical and hydraulic systems are operating efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including parts usage, equipment history, and maintenance logs.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, and actively participate in safety meetings and training programs to promote a safetyconscious work environment.
  • Assist in the procurement of spare parts and equipment required for maintenance and repair activities, and ensure that inventory levels are maintained as per operational requirements.

Requirements:


  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent, with a specialisation in hydraulics.
  • Proven experience in maintaining and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and diesel systems, preferably in an offshore or marine environment.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficiency in working with diesel engines, including maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals related to mechanical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in challenging offshore conditions.
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety, and a good understanding of relevant safety regulations and procedures.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Certificate of Medical Fitness (STCW or OGUK)
  • OPITO T/BOSIET (Or Equivalent Industry STCW Basic Fire and Survival Technique Training)
  • Provide First Aid (HLTAID011 of equivalent)
  • Working at Height (RIIWHS204D or equivalent)
  • Confined Space Entry (RIIWHS202D or equivalent)
