Company Description
We are looking for a Kitchen Hand to join our team on a part-time basis at Novotel Sydney Parramatta.


Our 194 room Hotel is in the heart of Parramatta, home to some of Sydney's best dining, shopping and entertainment venues.

Plus, with a brand-new light rail under construction and 'Eat Street' activation, this is the place you want to be


Joining a strong and energetic kitchen brigade you will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Kitchen department.


Responsibilities:


  • Action cleaning duties within the kitchen, food preparation areas and scullery
  • Operate dish washing machine as per instruction manual
  • General pantry duties and maintaining cleanliness of pantry, fridges and freezers
  • Ensure all kitchens are kept clean and tidy according to current Health & Hygiene regulations.
  • Ensure correct handling of chemicals and equipment as per manufacturer's instructions.
  • Ensure garbage is collected and disposed of correctly from all kitchen areas each shift.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment is desirable but not required
  • Preferred experience within the hospitality or hotel industry is desirable but not required
  • Understanding of food safety requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • MUST have flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including early mornings and weekends
