    • Exciting, hybrid type role, take full accountability and ownership of projects
    • You will assist with reverse engineering and brownfield optimisation
    • Residential role in Mackay, 3 weeks in the office and a week on site each month


    The Client:

    Industrial Engineering Company, established 40 years ago, design and build heavy engineering equipment used within the mining industry and is looking for a Technical Support Engineer, from a Mechanical Engineering background.

    They are looking to hire a Mid to Senior Mechanical Engineer with site experience, to support the delivery of capital projects, ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with Australian safety standards. The position would suit an Engineering Graduate that has between 5 and 10 years of heavy engineering experience looking to work away on-site to gain more commercial experience. Assisting with reverse engineering and brownfield optimization of products on site. Work will vary from designs, to project engineering, and commissioning.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Being the first contact to customers while on-site for support and sales
    • Efficiently complete 3d concept and component designs
    • Manage product development and product enhancement of a conveyor and conveyor products
    • Prepare accurate short-term mining schedules in order to meet mine targets
    • Liaise with the Senior Mine Engineers with regards to mine planning and product design as required
    • Hand calculations for load cases
    • Compile reports and present to the team when necessary
    • Strong focus on continuous improvement with design
    • Coordinate and manage daily engineering activities in order to achieve targets
