The AN-ACC Advisor is responsible for supporting the AN-ACC Manager with the implementation of a sustainable revenue management program for the organization which includes management, review and improvement of revenue by coordinating the AN-ACC assessment process (including relevant supplements) across all Aged Care centres.


The AN-ACC Advisor supports the centre staff to continually and constantly identify increases in residents' care needs, compare this to current funding and implement new funding review as appropriate.

The AN-ACC Advisor supports Centre Managers to deliver a coordinated approach to the implementation of the AN-ACC to achieve Aged Care financial KPIs by maximising care need evaluation and revenue opportunity.


ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Contributing to a change in culture to a position where all staff understands the importance of AN-ACC its importance in enabling the delivery of best care for our residents.
  • Focusing on ageing well and delivering a service that strives to maintain and enhance the resident's health and wellbeing, capabilities, independence, choice, privacy, dignity and safety.
  • Working closely and in collaboration with the AN-ACC Manager, Area Managers and Centre Managers to implement strategies, processes, education and training designed to facilitate income maximisation and process improvements to ensure performance results are achieved.
  • Gaining credibility and fostering relationships with the Operations Team and Leadership Teams within the centres to positively engage with AN-ACC processes
  • Review resident assessments and funding scores to identify possible changes in resident care that could warrant an AN-ACC Reclassification
  • Support centre teams to complete documentation that reflects the care needs of residents.
  • Support centre teams to complete Clinical and AN-ACC specific assessments to ensure the timely and effective care planning and classification optimization is embedded into good practice
  • Support centre teams to minimise the risk of a loss of funding by using Aged Care systems to demonstrate compliance and optimization of AN-ACC tools.
  • Assist monitoring and identifying gaps between diagnosis of resident and funding received.
  • Maintain regular contact and positive communication with AN-ACC Manager, Area Managers, Centre Managers and Clinical teams
  • Keeping the organization abreast of current best practice through engaging self and others in ongoing professional development in this specialist area

ABOUT YOU

  • Registered Nurse (Highly Desirable but not essential).
  • Experience in aged care preferably in the residential setting.
  • An extensive understanding of the AN-ACC.
  • Understanding and demonstrated expertise in assessment and care planning.
  • Experience in education and training.
  • Proven ability in analysis including being a lateral and flexible thinker.
  • Consultative approach with residents, staff, colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to empower staff whilst recognising boundaries of roles, skills, competencies and professional practice.
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills to effectively manage own responsibilities and priorities and assist others.
  • Presents professionally.
  • Ability to identify, resolve and manage problems and resolve conflict situations effectively.
