About the Role


You will be part of a dynamic and inclusive business enterprises team providing opportunities for people with disabilities to be employed alongside other skilled team members, in a world-class production facility providing laundry and linen services to a wide range of clients in the hospitality industry.


You will supervise the day to day operational requirements of the Laundry, assisting the Production Coordinator to coordinate between Laundry teams and Dispatch so the Laundry maintains all production targets for cleaning, ironing and dispatch of linen, in a timely and efficient manner.

The Production Supervisor will also assist management in maintaining a rewarding and safe work environment for all team members.


What success looks like

  • Production team members communicated effectively. Any matters impacting the processing of linen, or the wellbeing of the team were escalated for resolution, or addressed and recorded appropriately
  • Laundry processing operated efficiently to the agreed schedule whilst maintaining a highquality service
  • Positive team relationships facilitated cooperation and collaboration, reflecting our values, and producing effective team results
  • All appropriate reporting was completed to meet customer expectations, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment
  • Collaborated with laundry teams and management, contributing to a positive workplace culture that enhanced Aruma's reputation as an excellent service provider.

What you need to be successful in this role

  • A demonstrated commitment to the Aruma Code of Conduct
  • A high level of physical fitness to meet the manual handling and environmental requirements of the position
  • Sound verbal and written communication and numeracy skills
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, SharePoint)
  • Sound organisational skills and ability to prioritise the work of a small team.
  • Sound negotiation skills, able to resolve conflict and assess when to escalate issues.
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to supervise and support small teams
  • A practical understanding of WHS requirements.
  • Have or be willing to complete NDIS Worker Screening check
  • Be willing to complete a National Police Check

Nice to have's OR Desirable

  • Formal team leadership training (such as Cert IV or Diploma of Frontline Management)
  • Working at heights and confined spaces certification, or willingness to obtain
  • Forklift ticket and MR driver's license, or willingness to obtain certification
  • A Cert III qualification in Disability or related field or equivalent experience working with people with disabilities, particularly in a service provision context.
