Our client is in the enviable position of running a
very profitable gold mine, only a 90 minute flight from Perth, and has firmed up a significant reserve.

Currently set to
produce 3-400,000 ounces for thenext
3 years (Gold is at $3,558 per oz), a
8 year mine life already
locked in on top, with over 3 million ounces of defined mineral resources and closing on 5 million measured and indicated.

When you're
mining at circa $2,000 AISC, you end up looking at significant, stable (and
profitable) mine and mining operations.

To keep a mine like that running effectively and efficiently, we are now looking for an experienced
Open Pit Production Superintendent (Engineering Degreeif you have one)to oversee the delivery of the mining plan from the mining contractor, throughout all mining areas.

This is a full time role with our client, FIFO Perth on a 8:6 roster.

The role will require you to
- provide operational direction, input, and advice for the safe mining of the resource while ensuring compliance with the prescribed mine plan, and meeting production targets;
- optimise design and scheduling, including the minimisation of ore movement and dilution,
- maintenance of primary contractor accrual, ensuring alignment with daily review of works claims and mining activities.
- a systematic overview of mining contract performance, assessing monthly claims;
- project management and ensuring delivery of ancillary tasks to support operational delivery, including the maintenance and construction of haul roads;
- evaluate production performance, ensuring ore & waste targets are realised;
- prepare & manage department budgets and forecasts;
- build and maintain effective relationships in order to retain a high performance workforce through engagement, communication and motivation;
- understand and assist in the communication of the strategic mine plan and provide full analysis of results;
- lead the implementation of continuous improvement projects within the mining department;
- delivering effective leadership, including sharing your knowledge and experience with the team to encourage increased performance.

To be successful in this role, you will need
significant experience in high volume open pit mine environment, and a WA Unrestricted Quarry Manager's Certificate of Competency*.

Salary:
From $250,000.00 per year
