Description

We are looking for a fixed term (10 month), parental leave cover, Projects Administration Officer to provide high level administration support to the Projects unit across a portfolio of projects on the parliamentary precinct and across our electorate offices.

About the role

You will bring proven experience in the coordination of administrative processes, office systems and accounts payable processes to enable the timely delivery of our projects.


Key responsibilities:


  • Working closely with the Projects team, you will maintain the office systems of the unit to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of project administration activities.
  • You will undertake general administrative tasks to support the team, including the coordination of project meetings, assisting the preparation of project budgets and reporting of projects, assisting the administration and processing of invoices, purchase orders, project variations and contracts.
  • You will also play a key role in maintaining the Parliament's Project Management Framework documentation alongside assisting with tendering requirements for projects, as required.
About you
As a skilled communicator, you will use your strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse client base. You will use your sound time management skills and excellent attention to detail to meet assigned deadlines.

You will work collaboratively with the Projects team as you draw upon your experience in working with project financial information and timelines.

This will require proficient computer skills to deliver on the administration of our critical projects.
