Purpose of role:

This role reports to the Vendor Assurance Manager. The Quality Assurance Desk Top Auditor will assist with the implementation of the Quality Management Plan. Key to this role will be performing Desk Top Audits (DTA) to ensure the business meets the client requirements. The role includes auditing field technician's performance ensuring best practices and the clients quality standards are adhered too.

This person will be a member of a small team of desk top auditors and a member of the Supply Chain and Vendor management team also supporting the logistics team with stock management with the technicians and reporting.


Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

Assisting and contributing to the development and implementation of:

  • Conducting audits and inspections to achieve the targets.
  • Devise actions from audits conducted for FLM/VFLM to close out.
  • Investigating Quality problems and recommending solutions
  • Identify improvement opportunities for both systems and field performance at team, state, and national level.
  • The Quality Assurance Plan
  • Quality Assurance Systems, Processes, KPIs
  • Work with clients Quality groups to understand the customer's quality objectives and requirements.
  • Assist in the development of Quality Reporting and Analytics
  • Assist in the development of Quality Educational Materials
  • Promote the value of QA and develop a Quality Right First-Time culture.
  • Support QA Team members and staff to ensure appropriate training is provided in the execution of quality assurance and quality control.
  • Stay at the forefront of quality techniques in the industry and implement innovative solutions.
  • Support the business with adhoc quality requests or other tasks related to quality.
  • Also support the logistics function in managing of stock with the technicians including stocktake reporting and escalations from the client.

Key requirements and attributes:


  • Relevant experience in Quality and/or field installations
  • A strong understanding of quality in Telecommunications project environments
  • Desirable to have some experience with project quality KPI measurement, audit and reporting, training delivery and continuous improvement of quality management systems.
  • Solid communications and interpersonal skills
  • Some experience in change/project management would be an advantage.
  • An understanding of AS1199.
1:2003 AQL System would be highly regarded.
