Permanent part time
60 hours per fortnight
$26.61 p/hr ($52,581 p/annum full time equivalent)
+ 10.5% Superannuation + Not for profit packaging

About the role...
The Roster Clerk will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day tasks connected with rostering, maintaining accurate records and reports and for verification of time sheets against the roster for MiCare's Programs.
The Roster Clerk will assist in the recruitment of new staff ensuring that MiCare has sufficient suitably qualified staff to meet the care needs of the Elders who receive its care.
The position is accountable to the Facility Manager to ensure that services are provided to the highest professional standard of care, and to ensure that the future needs of Elders cared for by MiCare are properly assessed and to recommend strategies to meet those needs.
Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:- Monitor and maintain Rostering Systems to ensure maximum coverage of shifts.
- Manage the personal leave coverage in cooperation with the relevant Managers
- Preparation and advance posting of rosters, negotiation of shift changes, document preparation & collection and staff record keeping.
- Manage Rostering computer systems to optimise resources.
- Process and respond to roster and general enquires.
- General administrative, clerical, information and reporting duties, as required
- Maintain statistics re Annual Leave and Sick Leave taken
About you...
You will possess effective time management skills, conflict resolution skills, cultural sensitivity and an ability to be flexible and resilient with constant roster change.
Qualifications
- Certificate lll in Business Administration or the equivalent is desirable.
Skills:
- Experience in rostering and coordinating, preferably in a human services environment
- A sound knowledge of rostering software
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft suite of programs including high level experience in Excel, Word and Outlook.
- High level administration skills, including data entry, and computer operations
- Excellent customer service skills,
- An understanding of the ageing process.
- The ability to prioritise during times of competing demands.
- Ability to work with others and be a participative and supportive team member
- The ability to work in a culturally specific environment.
- The ability or willingness to speak or learn Dutch, and an understanding of Dutch culture preferred
A police check with no disclosable outcome, current flu vaccination and a COVID-19 vaccination, including dose 3 is required by MiCare for this position.
A commitment to work exclusively with MiCare Residential Aged Care facility as your only employer during COVID-19 will be highly regarded.
