Description

The Instructional Design Leader is responsible for the management of the design and development of learning solutions for allocated projects within the Learning Design and Innovation unit.


The position communicates and collaborates with relevant staff at various levels of the organisation to ensure a coordinated, effective, and efficient approach.

The position also consults, liaises and negotiates with industry, peak bodies, government departments and other stakeholders, and builds and maintains effective working relationships to meet the training and educational needs of a diverse range of clients.


About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Lead the design, development, delivery and evaluation of innovative, customised, high quality education and training solutions for identified clients.
  • Lead, manage and coach the Instructional Design Team, providing clear expectations and review of work, providing timely and constructive feedback and performance management.
  • Identify suitable professional development opportunities and lead a community of practice across teams to ensure optimum performance and drive continuous improvement within the team.
  • Foster a clientfocused culture with a focus on quality and innovation.
  • Manage recruitment and selection of staff, induction and onboarding.
  • Propose and implement a range of programs/courses for future delivery together with other Senior Educators and clients.
  • Examine and make recommendations on alternative flexible delivery strategies.

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience
  • Substantial experience in leadership and designing learning solutions in the educational, corporate and/or Government space
