The Project Coordinator contributes to the objectives of the Development projects by providing project coordination and administrative support to assist in the overall delivery of program and key project deliverables.


The role will coordinate, collaborate with and influence small cross organisational teams in the development and delivery of some assigned projects, within a program of work.

Projects are predominantly of a complex nature, and typically associated with Property Development.

The key objective of this position is to provide project coordination on key projects.

The Project Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Development team, to develop (where necessary), coordinate and report on detailed project plans.

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining action, task and risk registers and coordinating overall timelines under the guidance of the Senior Development and Senior Project Managers.

This role will also provide general administrative support to the team.


What you will bring

  • Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant Project Coordination experience within construction, development, property, architecture and/or engineering including high value, complex property and/or infrastructure projects in a large and diverse organisation with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience creating, updating and managing schedules using MS Project
  • Experience in using Aconex
  • Advanced project coordination skills, including the ability to plan, monitor and assess project risks and issues and the ability to manage multiple projects from conception and briefing to delivery, and operate with a close attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritising skills
  • Highly developed written, graphic and oral communication skills
  • A high level of initiative and independence and the ability to establish own priorities and work with limited direction and proven ability to work in a team environment
  • Highly developed customer service skills and demonstrated ability to be professional, discrete, and courteous
  • Proven ability in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
