About the role

This role will carry out allocated manual cleaning tasks, to specified standards, to meet Council and customer expectations which focus on quality service delivery.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity.


Key responsibilities include:

  • The following cleaning duties (however not limited to):
  • Toilet, shower & changeroom cleaning.
  • Minor graffiti/stain removal.
  • Manual street cleaning.
  • Litter collection including roadside.
  • Displaying a positive personal contribution in undertaking daily duties involving, amenity cleaning, street cleaning and roadside litter collection and in assisting the Team in providing a customer focused service.
  • Assist with the accurate recording and completion of all operational documentation that records the activities of the team, and forward same to the supervisor on a weekly basis.
  • Operating and maintaining plant and equipment in an effective and efficient manner and in compliance with relevant laws/regulations, codes of practice and City Services directives and wear and use the required personal safety equipment which will be provided.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Ability to perform tasks independently in a high usage public environment.
  • Ability to perform manual work including frequent bending and lifting in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety guidelines.
