  • A registered charity and nonprofit enterprise, this organisation is an influential, wellfunded peak body with a membership base of NGO's involved in the delivery of child protection, outofhome care and related services.
  • Already a leading influence and respected voice, this nonprofit advances the rights of children and their families to safety, wellbeing and social justice including equitable access to life opportunities.
  • But with the media spotlight increasingly amplifying youth and child protection issues, it's become time to extend its influence. With Board support, this will involve the initiation of more effective early interventions and extended collaboration to develop messages with a greater, more meaningful impact on the government, the press, social media and the general public.
  • The retirement of the present CEO, after a long and successful tenure, provides an opportunity for a dynamic new leader with strong experience across human and financial management to come in, drive change, manage growth strategies and bring new ideas into the business.
  • This role requires all the skills, attributes and experience of a seasoned CEO with a passion for social justice.
  • Paramount among those capabilities will be your great skill in forming productive relationships/partnerships through collaboration with stakeholders who include colleagues, funding bodies, government agencies, the media, First Nations groups and others.
  • Given also is your deep knowledge and understanding of the Queensland Child Safety System, within the broader context of all contemporary community services policy and practice in Queensland; the ability to form and implement meaningful business strategies and your proven ability to enthuse and inspire others, including your own Board.
  • Financial savvy, political acuity, integrity, perseverance, patience and a clear perspective on the larger scheme of things, give you the knowledge and the courage to move forward, or stop, and to know when to do either one.
