We are seeking a

Workplace Health and Safety (WHSO) School Officer to work closely with the principal and school community to undertake a range of WHS related tasks and duties.
Key aspects of the role include but are not limited to:

The effective management of safety process and efficient record keeping;
Undertake WHS projects as directed by the leadership team;
Follow compliance requirements generated through WHS reports;
Undertake WHS review processes and recommend areas for improvement;
Undertake classroom safety audits and provide recommendations;
Assist and guide staff on the completion of risk assessments;
Organise WHS induction processes including first aid courses; and
Working closely with BCE WHS staff members.

The successful applicant will hold/have/or be prepared to obtain:

Senior First Aid Certificate
Strong IT skills and experience
Certificate IV Workplace Health and Safety Certificate

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills with:

Proven communication and interpersonal skills
Safe work practices
BCE systems such as guardian and compliance data base
Effective management of safety processes and efficient record keeping

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;

- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.

Total Paid Hours (per week) & days required:6 hours per week - required to work one day each week.

Salary level, range or hourly rate:School Officer Level 3 - $30.97 per hour
