  • We are seeking a

Workplace Health and Safety (WHSO) School Officer to work closely with the principal and school community to undertake a range of WHS related tasks and duties.
Key aspects of the role include but are not limited to:

  • The effective management of safety process and efficient record keeping;
  • Undertake WHS projects as directed by the leadership team;
  • Follow compliance requirements generated through WHS reports;
  • Undertake WHS review processes and recommend areas for improvement;
  • Undertake classroom safety audits and provide recommendations;
  • Assist and guide staff on the completion of risk assessments;
  • Organise WHS induction processes including first aid courses; and
  • Working closely with BCE WHS staff members.
The successful applicant will hold/have/or be prepared to obtain:

  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Strong IT skills and experience
  • Certificate IV Workplace Health and Safety Certificate

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills with:

  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills
  • Safe work practices
  • BCE systems such as guardian and compliance data base
  • Effective management of safety processes and efficient record keeping

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and

Salary level, range or hourly rate:School Officer Level 3 - $30.97 per hour
