Role Details:

The Department for Child Protection has an opening for an experienced
Project Lead on a full-time term basis. This is an essential role in designing, researching and implementing learning and development strategy.


The role is responsible for:

  • Leading the development, implementation and continuous improvement of a comprehensive Learning and Development Strategy.
  • Reviewing essential and mandated training components and planning for future skills and ensuring it meets the diverse needs of the workforce.
  • Supporting managers and staff with tailored learning opportunities during organisational change.
  • Establishing and maintaining the Department's performance evaluation methods for training content, delivery and outcomes.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to address capability needs and gaps identified through the succession planning and performance management plan processes.

About You


We are looking for a confident individual who has experience in developing, leading and implementing successful programs of work and/or projects.

To be successful you will have proven experience in the administration and oversight of a Learning and Development committee.

You will have proven ability to identify and deliver strategic and operational outcomes in a sensitive and complex environment.

Demonstrated knowledge of process system and workforce improvement, as well as effective learning and development methods, are vital to your success.


If you can work under broad direction and deal with conflicting priorities to achieve objectives and meet deadlines, have strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to a range of key stakeholders, then this may be the role for you.
