Office Manager / HR - Full time
O'Brien Criminal and Civil Solicitors is a fast-paced law firm based in Sydney CBD.
Our office is looking for an office manager who has experience in a management and/or high-level practice administrative position with an understanding of general court procedures.
You will be responsible for a range of managerial and administrative tasks, including:Financial:
- assist with trust reconciliation and audits
- assist with relevant office budget and petty cash reconciliation
- coordinate accounts receivable and payable and maintain debt prevention activities
- coordinate relevant insurance policies and compliance matters
Operational:
- develop and maintain a suite of practice policies and procedures
- ensure office equipment are kept stocked and maintained
- be part of and contribute to a team environment
- oversee that the practice and rooms are clean, tidy and accessible
- assist with accreditation compliance and implementation
- oversee day-to-day practice operations and management of staff
- attend to practice statistics and billing statistics
- conduct regular practice meetings
Personnel
- co-ordinate staff employment and rosters, including annual leave
- encourage employee motivation, professional development and satisfaction
- co-ordinate interviewing and hiring of staff and interns
- conduct regular staff training, meetings and appraisals
Requirements:
- prior HR and office management experience
- strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- an understanding of trust accounting and legal accounts
- proficiency in Word and Excel
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
