They help clients change and grow by coming up with new products, services, business models, and processes in addition to workshopping new idea, branding, and organisational transformation.

The work is diverse, strategic, and embraces the power of play.

It's a unique mixture of qualitative research, strategic consulting and design thinking united to solve complex business and organisational problems for commercial and social brands.

The role:
Innovation Strategist

Every project is different; in one month, you could be responsible for:

  • Facilitating innovation workshops for a government organisation aimed at supporting individuals living with disabilities
  • Conduct ethnographies research with endusers and extract pain points for a medical tech company

  • Lead qual interviews with experts in the beauty industry to understand changing consumer needs
  • Using VR to improve a fastfood chain's customer experience
  • Collaborating with csuite executives to plan their next 5year innovation strategy for a frozen food brand

Given the nature of their work and their collaborative culture, you will be involved in all elements of projects, with key responsibilities encompassing client account management, managing projects, budgets, and timelines, assisting in designing research, co-facilitating qual workshops, and developing through-provoking recommendations, reporting, and presenting to commercial clients.

It's essential that you have:

  • Proven experience working within research, consulting, or design agency (1+years' experience)
  • A grounding in qualitative research with exposure to running focus groups, IDIs, workshops, or ethnography
  • An understanding of human behaviour with brand and design thinking smarts
  • Strong project management able to juggle deadlines, projects, and budgets
  • A curious mind with a desire to untangle problems
  • Compelling communication skills
  • An inherent desire to learn, progress, and grow your professional and creative capabilities
  • Empathy, determination and a sense of humour and grit
