We are looking for an individual who is keen on expanding their career by joining our National People and Culture team.

Working closely with the Head of People and Culture, the
HR Business Partner will proactively oversee the operational Human Resources activities for Victoria, while partnering with managers to ensure we provide accurate industrial relations, performance management and generalist HR advice and support across the full employee lifecycle.


About the position:


  • Align the human resources priorities of Penfold Motor Group with its workforce to ensure we achieve our strategic goals and organisational objectives, as well as legislative and regulatory obligations.
  • Provide strategic recruitment advice to senior managers and Assist with the recruitment and onboarding the state including providing advice to senior managers
  • Assist with payroll queries for Victoria
  • Operational HR management advice and employee relations advice on matters relating to employment terms and conditions, including employment legislation and the interpretation of multiple industrial instruments/awards.
  • Partner closely with managers and build strong rapport as the trusted manager in investigating and resolving complex workplace grievances, performance management issues and industrial relations matters.
  • Mediation and dispute resolution, consultation and conciliation.
  • Risk management of the business regarding all HR and industrial relations matters.
  • Accurately coach and ensure managers follow your guidance, while offering a supportive approach
  • In consultation with the Head of People and Culture, identify operational HR gaps, and develop subsequent HR projects/strategies that will benefit the organisation and its strategic goals
  • A leadership style that is versatile, dynamic and shapes a positive people and culture experience for Penfold Motor Group
  • Effective HR change management

What you need to succeed in the role:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management
  • 5+ years' experience in a HR Generalist or HR Business Partner capacity across the full employee lifecycle with strong experience partnering with senior managers
  • Strong customer service and highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Respectful communication that achieves positive outcomes for each case
  • High level computer literacy


  • Current Drivers Licence

  • Essential for travel between sites
  • Thrives in a fast paced diverse organisational structure, with competing demands
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with change management and technology transformation.
