About the role


Are you passionate about the environment and making a meaningful impact on your community? We have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Planner to join our team and be a driving force in shaping a sustainable future for our Shire.


As an Environmental Planner, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic and statutory environmental planning advice both internally and externally.

Your expertise will be crucial in advocating for the protection and enhancement of our Shire's precious biodiversity.


Importantly, this role is within a supportive team environment, who are passionate about delivering positive environmental outcomes for the community.


About you
You will also need to meet the following.

Demonstrated knowledge in natural resource management or environmental science, specifically indigenous plant identification and threatened species management.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the environmental statutory planning procedures and
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the development and delivery of strategic environmental planning policies and strategies.
  • Tertiary qualifications in planning, environmental science, natural resource management or a related discipline
