The Role
The Air Lift Systems Program Office (ALSPO) is seeking an APS 6 Logistic Support Manager to work in our Asset Management Units.
Your work within the team, delivering integrated logistic support, will directly support the Air Mobility Group within the Royal Australian Air Force achieve their objectives.
You will work on a range of sustainment activities in support of C-130J Hercules aircraft, C-27J Spartan aircraft and associated systems.
You will work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Australian Public Servants, Australian Defence Force members, Contractors and our Industry Partners.
As the Logistics Support Manager, you will be- Accountable for a variety of activities and plans related to integrated logistics support and associated disciplines, that support the sustainment and acquisition aspects of materiel logistics;
- Resolve problems using expertise, taking the initiative to identify alternative courses of actions;
- Communicate objectives through high level written documents and presentations for higher delegation consideration.
About our Team
The Air Lift Systems Program Office (ALSPO) at RAAF Base Richmond is a Business Unit within the Airlift and Tanker Systems branch of the Aerospace Systems Division.
ALSPO is the in-service support agency responsible for sustaining and enhancing the RAAF's C-130J Hercules and C-27J Spartan aircraft.ALSPO, in partnership with industry, exists to support Air Mobility Group achieve its mission by providing effective sustainment support solutions.
The Hercules Asset Management Unit within ALSPO is a highly capable and professional team operating in a dynamic and challenging work environment supporting Defence capability.
Located in Greater Western Sydney at RAAF Base Richmond, an hour west of Sydney, the Base has an employee accessible gym, tennis and squash court, pool and cinema.

- Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders at the operational and business unit level.

- Have experience working in and/or providing support to Integrated Logistics Support management, Logistic Management Systems and legislative frameworks.
- Demonstrate the ability to establish clear plans and timeframes and be able to respond positively to change.
- Sound commercial and business acumen and a demonstrated understanding of the Defence Industry sector in Australia.
