The Company

Our client is Australia's leading manufacturer of steel pipelines for the water industry, providing world-class jointing systems, corrosion protection and linings.

They are seeking an experienced team coordinator to lead the Fittings Production team based in Somerton, VIC.

The Role

As Production Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

Leading a team of welders and fitters across various levels of skill and driving their productivity and continued development
Manage and control the labour hire workforce and daytoday activities to ensure maximum performance
Recruit, induct and train new labour hire employees
Ensure machines and equipment are clean and safe
Ensure all quality and safety standards are met through the manufacturing process including and reporting on any nonconformances
Promote a culture of safety and identify any opportunities for HSE improvement

Your Background
In order to be successful in this role, you will:

Have at least 3 years experience in a blue-collar environment (manufacturing, construction, civil etc) in a supervisory role
Enjoy peopleleading and taking ownership of responsible area of operations
Have a keen eye for continuous improvement measures
Have project management skills
Be able to read and interpret technical drawings
Be able to use data management software and full MS Office Suite (Excel, Word)
