Who are we looking for?


Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Scholarships Systems Project Officer to join Student Administration, Student Services and Wellbeing, Administrative Division.


The Scholarships Systems Project Officer will focus on the development of the centralised Rewards Module in the Student Administrations and Management system (SAMs), to enhance the functionality.

This role will identify new initiatives, incorporate new scholarships into the system, and support the administration of Scholarships, Awards, Prizes and Bursaries.

Student Services and Wellbeing consists of the following departments: Student Administration, Student Engagement, Equity, Student Services and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE).

The portfolio also has strong links to and works closely with QUT's Oodgeroo Unit and Human Resources.

What you need to succeed


To thrive in this role, you will be proactive and dependable, with a desire to make a positive impact on the experience of our students.


You will demonstrate:

  • Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of a degree with four (4) years relevant experience in a student administration environment.
  • Proven ability to successfully implement new systems and enhance existing processes.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate with diverse stakeholders and prepare clear and concise reports, briefings and highlevel correspondence.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problemsolving skills in the development of clientfocused and innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrated strong organisational and time management skills including the ability to prioritise work, work with accuracy and manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of computer software packages including large databases (e.g. student management systems) and reporting systems.
