How will I help?
Core Responsibilities in the role will include

  • Developing manual test scripts and frameworks of banking software
  • Manage test infrastructure and execution of automated tests, and continuously maintain automated test cases
  • Raise any defects found during test and escalate in accordance with set procedures to ensure resolution of issues within appropriate timeframes to minimise impact on project quality and schedule
  • Identify the Automatable and nonautomatable Sprint/Release test scope
  • Work collaboratively in crossfunctional teams to develop a strong understanding of the systems and testing objectives
  • Ability to write clear bug reports quickly and concisely and collaborate with developers to get them fixed Active participation in all Agile ceremonies, eg. Sprint planning, estimation, standups and retrospective

What do I need?

  • Minimum 5 years manual testing experience
  • Experience in API testing and use of tools like POSTMAN, Charles and BURP
  • Mobile app automation using Appium
  • Web app automation using Selenium
  • Knowledge in one of the languages
  • Java/Kotlin/C#
  • Working experience of CI/CD using Bamboo, Jenkins or any equivalent tool
  • Code management tool like Git or any equivalent tool
  • Ability to work with a variety of databases and coding programs, such as, Java, HTML, as well as XML and JSON feeds.
  • Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile frameworks
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are a MUST.
  • Experience in test management tools such as JIRA, X-Ray
  • Previous experience in the banking sector is an advantage
  • Proven experience writing test plans, test strategies, test cases, test reporting
  • Cucumber / Gherkins is an added advantage
  • Selfmotivated and ability to work with the business
  • Growth mindset and not afraid of a challenge
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to work effectively with a range of stakeholders and vendor partners, both on and offshore
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence
Industry recognised Testing certifications (e.g. ISQTB Foundation, ASQTB Mobile Testing, etc.) would be desirable.
