About the role
We are looking for an experienced payroll coordinator to manage payroll advice and support for our employees.

This role will be responsible for providing expert advice to managers and employees on a wide range of leave and pay queries, reviewing fortnightly pay runs to identify any issues, and communicating with employees to ensure understanding of entitlements and compliance with relevant legislation.


You will work closely with our third-party payroll provider to ensure pay and leave is processed accurately and that issues are resolved effectively.

As part of a collaborative HR team, you may also contribute to projects and initiatives that support the PSC in shaping a world class workforce.

To be successful in this role, we are seeking someone with:

  • experience running and/or reviewing payroll
  • SAP organisational management and reporting experience
- effective communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships quickly

Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience is essential.

About the team


People and Engagement has a key role in assisting with workforce planning and talent management strategies as well as developing and implementing best practice HR policies and solutions.

The team also provides regular analytic reporting to the Senior Leadership Team to inform the health of the organisation.


About the Public Service Commission


The
NSW Public Service Commission is headed by an independent Public Service Commissioner and is a separate agency under the _Government Sector Employment Act 2013 _(GSE Act) that supports the Commissioner in exercising her functions and powers.

The PSC leads the design, development and implementation of the full range of workforce management strategies - including workforce capability, recruitment and assessment, performance management, and strategic workforce planning - to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the NSW public sector workforce
