    Salary ranges from $139,787 - $161,663 plus superannuation and annual leave loading.

    The Office of the Chief Executive in Valuation NSW (VNSW) is currently seeking to appoint a new Principal Policy & Strategy Manager to support the continued growth within VNSW.The Principal Policy and Strategy Manager leads and manages a team in the development, delivery and implementation of a portfolio of policy initiatives and reforms that support organisational objectives and Government commitments.

    About You The key to success in this role will be your excellent verbal and written communication skills, your solutions focused mindset and proactive attitude to your work.

    Your organisational ability will allow you to successfully manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment whilst delivering high quality and timely information on a range of issues.

    You will have demonstrated analytical, creative reasoning, negotiation and interpersonal skills coupled with experience successfully driving strategy through policy.

    You will enjoy working in a fast-paced and often complex environment where you expertly manage relationships with government agencies and varied stakeholders.

    Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of complex strategies and policies across a range of interrelated agendas combined with your flexibility and willingness to take ownership of ad hoc projects will be crucial in this interesting and diverse role.

    VNSW provides services to, supports, and where appropriately delegated, delivers relevant functions on behalf of the Valuer General (VG) of NSW.


    This includes:
    Defining and setting the standards and policies for the land valuation system for rating and taxing purposes along with the determination of compensation through the compulsory acquisition process to ensure integrity within the NSW Government is upheldMaking valuations as well as monitoring, quality assurance and governance pertaining to the quality of the valuations undertaken relevant to both the

    Valuation of Land Act 1916

    and the

    Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation)


    Act 1991Providing other specialised valuation activities, services and determinations as/when required for other cluster or state-wide government partnersProviding professional leadership and stewardship to the valuation industry.
