About the role:


We seek a skilled Procurement Manager specialising in Civil Construction / Infrastructure projects across Australia This is a permanent role base in the north of Melbourne.


The purpose of this role is to develop, implement and manage the procurement and supply chain strategy for all Civil Service related matters.


Key responsibilities:


  • Establish, update and be the single source of truth for best practice procurement of the category. Additionally, develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers across Australia.
  • Monitor and analyse category spending and volumes across all projects.
  • Resolve, advise on and escalate supplier delivery/quality / technical issues across projects. Leverage relationships and facilitate quick resolutions.
  • Promote the use of sustainable solutions at the earliest stages of the project. Continually research and understand lowcarbon innovations that exist in the market.
  • Engage as a communication channel between SMEs, projects and the broader business for all categoryrelated innovations, industry trends, pricing trends, and design strategies.

About you:


  • Must have a solid technical background in Civil Construction Services.
  • Must be able to interrogate Civil designs and identify opportunities for improvement or greater efficiencies.
  • Have placed subcontract/supplier agreements and understand the basic principles of subcontractor/supplier engagement. In addition, has an excellent commercial background with the ability to understand and negotiate basic terms of contracts.
