About the Role:


The Deputy Cluster Manager supports the effective operations of the Cluster by facilitating the Cluster team to not only meet, but exceed requirements set by relevant legislative frameworks, NDIS frameworks and Minda's 'be the difference' philosophy and culture, ensuring Minda is a service provider of choice for our clients and their families.


The Deputy Cluster Manager will be required to work minimum of 40% with direct client care across the cluster and 60% within a supernumerary capacity to support the Cluster Manager.


  • Demonstrated genuine commitment to helping people with disabilities retain their independence in the community
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work well autonomously, as well as working effectively within a team environment
  • Great communication and relationship building skills along with a commitment to providing quality services and implementing continuous improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to relate professionally with families, advocates and to develop and motivate staff.
  • Ability to work effectively and solve problems under daytoday operational pressures and take accountability for their work to ensure business and financial objectives are met

In this role you will:


  • Contribute to, and assist with creating a team dedicated to fostering a culture of Client centred support
  • Provide authentic team leadership and the highest level of professional conduct in alignment with Minda's Values.
  • Ensure all relevant compliance, legislative and regulatory requirements are met at all times
  • Provide technical expertise with a particular emphasis on the continued development of operational best practice standards within the Cluster
  • Ensure Clients and key stakeholders exercise choice and control over all aspects of service delivery and have a voice in how Minda can continuously improve
  • Escalate Client/stakeholder complaints, queries, or concerns as appropriate
  • Actively engage with clients across the Cluster and support ADLs, mealtimes, appointments, and all daily living activities as required and as necessary, to support the Clients' needs

Skills and Qualifications Required

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or Valid DHS Disability Screening)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Unrestricted Working Rights
  • COVID vaccinations (2+booster minimum requirement)
  • Relevant industry and/ or management experience. Relevant tertiary qualifications desirable
