Currently seeking a motivated Transport Manager to join our team.

As the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operations of our Transport Department while adhering to financial costing and ensuring compliance with OH&S and HACCP procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities:


  • Ensure timely and correct deliveries while monitoring driver credits.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Acts, legal obligations, and ethical standards.
  • Manage staff levels to ensure adequate manpower.
  • Possess a solid understanding of OH&S regulations, driving breaks, manual handling, and rehabilitation.
  • Maintain HACCP compliance and daily recordkeeping, conducting random checks on temperature control sheets.
  • Regularly meet with Warehouse, Sales, and Workshop Management.
  • Coordinate effective routing of trucks and staff to optimize delivery and service.
  • Communicate with the fleet manager regarding any truck issues.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and company Health & Safety Policies.

Requirements:


  • Knowledge of current Driver Safety Legislation.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Motivational leadership style to inspire and guide the team.
  • Good knowledge of metropolitan and country areas.
  • Solid understanding of HACCP and OH&S regulations.
  • Proactive in addressing the needs of drivers and meeting customer requirements.
  • Attention to detail and strong problemsolving skills.
  • Flexibility and reliability in managing transportation operations.
