ADD VALUE - THE ROLE


The Principal Development Contributions Officer is responsible for reviewing council's contributions documents, developing new contributions plans in accordance with Council and State government policies and creating a contributions management system that will support the levying, collection and management of contributions, including Planning Agreements.

The role requires high level specialist/technical advice with respect to contributions, in order to assist in the delivery of the key objectives of Council's Community Strategic Plan.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Coordinate and administer the Contributions Committee for Council and provide expert advice and recommendations to the Committee
  • Provide a high level of technical support to ensure services are delivered across the Business Unit, advising on complex strategic planning and development contribution issues
  • Coordinate a range of strategic and development programs, including but not limited to, the Local Strategic Planning Statement
  • Ensure effective and efficient implementation of Council's statutory responsibilities in relation to Development Contributions under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 197
  • Prepare and administer works in kind and planning agreements.
  • Provide high quality customer service to all relevant stakeholders.


Tertiary qualifications, or commencement of, in Town Planning, Civil Engineering or Business Accounting or related discipline, will be complemented by extensive experience in local government, development or a related field.

Industry knowledge and experience in managing and administering Development Contributions will be highly regarded.


This position is offered on a fixed-term, full-time basis working 35 hours per week for a period of up to 3 years.


Remuneration package for this position is based on Grade 14 of Council's Salary System Protocol which equates to a base salary of $102,733 - $115,161 per annum plus superannuation and a vehicle allowance of $17,043.19 per annum totaling a
TRP of $119, ,604 per annum plus superannuation.
