CHPP Supervisor
It's not every day you have the opportunity to be involved in the start-up of a new mineTo make your mark
and be there from the beginning. Well here is that long-awaited, unique opportunity to do just that - a
Greenfield mine in the Hunter Valley with all the associated excitement of building and being part of
something new.

The
Maxwell Underground Project, owned by
Malabar Resources Ltd has commenced construction with
produce planned of up to 8 million tonnes of coal per annum. With a long life, the underground mine targets
high quality coal, with the majority being metallurgical coal.

The CHPP Supervisor will be site-based and supervise both the operation and maintenance of Maxwell CHPP.


Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

As the CHPP Supervisor, some of the duties will include:

  • Ensure all activities, both production and maintenance, are performed in a safe manner
  • Manage a team to achieve CHPP and wider business objectives and performance targets
  • Assist with the development of CHPP systems and processes as the CHPP increases throughput
  • Assist with the development of working systems for CHPP operation
  • Drive continuous improvement of a safe work culture in the CHPP
  • Support the creation of a positive working culture.
  • Conduct workplace inspections of CHPP area consistent with the Mine Inspection Plan
  • Lead electrical and mechanical technicians to perform CHPP operations and maintenance tasks
  • Support adherence to Site HS&E requirements

Skills and Experience:


  • Experience in supervision of safe CHPP (or equivalent fixed plant) operations and maintenance
activities.

  • Proven leadership skills.
  • An electrical or mechanical trade qualification.
  • Working knowledge of the Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Act and regulations.
  • A relevant qualification in training and assessing.
  • Contractor Management skills.
