About the roleThe safety team are the 'go to' centre for business leader and employees statewide for advice and support on risk and accident management, workplace psychosocial factors, hazard mitigation and compliance.

In this key role you will manage the safety management reporting system analyse trends, investigate mattes as needed, and provide essential feedback to managers.

Supporting the Trained Safety Advisor (TSA) network across DJAG, you will provide training and guidance on best practice and the implementation of legislation and safety standards.

Working in tandem with the injury management team, you will build positive relationships to promote and health, safety and wellbeing and represent the safety team on internal committees.

What you will bringTo thrive in this role, you will need:

  • working knowledge of HSW legislation, best practices and investigation processes. the ability to speak effectively with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds, and read and comprehend technical documents. experience in administering safety management reporting systems. experience in providing advice and training on risk management and hazard mitigation. the motivation to learn and the ability to quickly respond to competing matters within established timeframes.
