Key responsibilities

  • Participate in and provide operational leadership in statewide compliance activities including conducting investigations and referring noncompliance allegations to agencies and regulators to ensure supplier compliance to Queensland Procurement Policy, Ethical Supplier Threshold and Ethical Supplier Mandate. Produce complex and high level investigation reports, evidential briefs and recommendations. Conduct reviews of technical information arising out of serious supplier breaches of the Queensland Procurement Policy, Ethical Supplier Threshold and Ethical Supplier Mandate. Guide and mentor staff in methodical assessment of investigations, audit outcomes, complaints, and detailed analysis of supplier compliance. Manage difficult negotiations with buyers and suppliers on investigation outcomes, audit outcomes, complaints, and referral specifics with the ability to communicate with clear recommendations and actions. Report to management on investigation and team outcomes in accordance with procedures and performance standards adopted by the QGP Compliance Branch to assist in identifying opportunities for team's professional development. Develop and maintain effective relations with key internal and external stakeholders (buyers and suppliers) and provide high level advice to management when identifying and managing difficult and/or potentially contentious issues. Ensure all complaints investigations, information, and data is appropriately managed and recorded. Prepare and coordinate ministerial briefs and presentations.
