Our client is a global market leading manufacturer and supplier of various components, power units, automation components and systems to cater for the mining and industrial sectors.

Due to internal movement, we're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Workshop Supervisor to join their team.


Reporting to the State Manager (WA/NT), you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of your team ensuring quality, compliance and customer satisfaction is achieved.

You're a leader that enjoys nurturing your team to drive performance whilst ensuring safety, service and department KPI's are met.


About the role:


  • Directly manage and coordinate a team of Tradesmen, Apprentices and Trade Assistants (approx 15 Technicians)
  • Oversee the workshop daytoday ensuring schedule is adhear to and work completed within deadline.
  • Oversee compliance and quality of workmanship
  • Maintain client relationship and communication on progress of work
  • Provide customer quotes and follow up
  • Ensure development and growth of team through training and mentoring
  • Manage parts and consumable orders/requirements
  • Evaluate and improve operational performance
  • Participate in weekly toolbox meetings
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance within standards, WHS Policy, procedures and SWMS

What we're looking for:


  • Previous supervisory experience preferably in an minging / industrial / mechanical / workshop related industry
  • Ability to travel to mine sites (approx 3 times per year)
  • Ability to effectively lead and manage a team whilst meeting KPI's and deadlines
  • Strong IT skills across Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
  • Strong focus on quality and safety
  • Proficient with administration, business process and function
  • Ability to build customer relationships and provide a high standard of customer service
  • Time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Ability prioritise in a demanding role
  • Critical thinker
  • Strong people management
