People2people are working with a global manufacturer who supply cavity pumps and pump parts to a wide product range suitable for the pumping of fluids within the waste water, chemical, food, beverage, paper, mining, mineral processing, marine, agricultural and oil and gas sectors.
Be apart of a growing service team, this role will be based in Kirrawee and will have a mix of workshop and site servicing/repairs of pumps and rotating equipment over a large area and a variety of industries.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- To provide the Service Manager with any information that could hinder the assembly of any product.
- To assemble and repair all products in line with documented targets.
- Completion of service paperwork/data entry related to repair or maintenance tasks undertaken.
- Ensure all Assembly/Work in Progress (WIP) within the service department are actioned in an accurate and timely manner.
- To work within a team environment and to assist in achieving multiskilling across the assembly department.
- Actively work with the Service Manager on productivity improvements within the department.
- Ensure daily production quantities are recorded on work sheets and Work In Progress (WIP) data is entered and actioned in an accurate and timely manner.
- To carry out assessment activity, repairs and maintenance in line with warranty requirements.
- Maintenance and upkeep of equipment and tools as well as general housekeeping of the service area of the factory and yard. Paying close attention to OH&S and rectifying any areas that may have adverse environmental impact.
The successful applicant must:
- Be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in pump repairs
- Have suitable qualifications.
- Be able to manage time, documentation and accurate record keeping
- Have good customer relation skills.
- Be able to work both in a team environment and autonomously
- Have the commitment to adhere to the companies Quality and WHSE policies and procedure
Minimum qualifications required:
- Mechanical or electrical trade certificate with pump repair experience
- Confined space certificate
- Electrical disconnect/reconnect
- Car and forklift license
