The Role:


This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) consultant to join our Cundall team in our Perth office.

You will be supporting and assisting clients with the development of their ESG/sustainability and decarbonisation strategies undertaking materiality assessments, stakeholder engagement, target setting, carbon accounting and develop implementation and action plans.


You will join a small, friendly, and growing team of ESG sustainability and climate change specialists, which functions as part of a broader national and global team.

We focus on helping organisations look deeper and see further, considering ESG to develop strategies and reports to address their material ESG risks and opportunities.

As part of a national team within our Sustainability team your impact will be seen by:

  • Developing an understanding of client operations, strategic objectives and ESG context.
  • Assisting clients in assessing material ESG issues, risk governance and strategy.
  • Assisting with data collection, analysis and synthesis to support our review of client corporate practices across companies, councils, government organisations, and asset portfolios.
  • Identifying appropriate objectives, targets, KPIs, and metrics to measure performance.
  • Supporting the organisation to embed ESG strategies and manage associated changes.
  • Building strong relationships with clients.
  • Joining a small and fastgrowing team, with opportunities to be part of our growth from early on and be rewarded through career development opportunities.
  • Working on projects across Australia and Asia Pacific.
  • Working closely with clients and engagement teams to report in accordance with a wide range of ESG frameworks and schemes including GRESB, Science Based Targets (SBTi), TCFD, GHG Protocol, Climate Active, NGERS, UN SDGs, etc

The Skills:

  • Tertiary qualification, such as in engineering, environmental sciences, economics, social sciences, law, organisational development, finance or accounting
  • At least 3 years of experience assisting clients developing ESG strategies and/or carbon inventories and net zero pathways
  • A proven track record in the preparation and implementation of corporate strategy, transformation projects and/or decarbonisation pathways
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, dynamic team and environment.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, effectively resourcing to meet client deadlines.
  • Strong technical analytical skills
  • High proficiency in Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Client liaison and relationship management throughout various stages of a project.
  • Highly organised, detailoriented, and proactive.
  • Experience providing strategic consulting advice in a professional services environment
  • Experience with Climate Active and SBTi submissions preferred but not mandatory
