Safety

  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness by ensuring that all plant, equipment, and personnel, both permanent and contracted, comply with the company's safety, housekeeping and environmental standards.
  • Effectively manage suppliers to ensure they are accountable for their safety, their employees or contactors safety and the equipment and services provided.

Facilities and Services

  • Manage and administer all building maintenance and utility services necessary to support the Liverpool facilities 24/7 operations.
  • Coordination and supervision of scheduled work.
  • Coordinate and maintain Liverpool's preventative maintenance program relevant to the facility and services to ensure appropriate activities are actioned and documented.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage issues as they arise and drive favourable outcomes.
  • Liaise and coordinate with key stakeholders to support planned works.
  • Ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented and effectively managed.
  • Develop plans to meet short and longterm improvement needs of the Liverpool Site.
  • Effective management of relevant budgets to meet agreed business outcomes.

Resource Management

  • Calculate and compare costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money.
  • Monitor and address the condition of the facility to maintain site security and presentation, facility preparedness and ensure GMP standards are met.
  • Actively review work backlog to ensure priority is given to the most critical activities.
  • Ensure the building and surrounds meets health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with all relevant legislation.
  • Maintain compliance with Building Codes of Australia (BCA) that supports legislative and insurance requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage contractors to achieve required business outcomes.

People and Relationships

  • Coordinate necessary staff and contractors to support scheduled maintenance.
  • Manage communication between engineering and operations to ensure equipment issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Manage effective working relationships and communication with key stakeholders and suppliers.

Procedural

  • Adhere to financial guidelines and policies.
  • Adhere to all Policies & Procedures including WHS, ESG and Environmental.
  • Develop and present progress reports, proposals and relevant documentation as required.

Performance Measures:


  • Compliance to work schedule.
  • Downtime / Business interruption due to utilities or services.
  • Timely rectification of issues and accurate reporting of corrective actions.
  • Feedback from peers, customers, and the engineering team.
  • Adherence to financial budgets.
  • Project delivery for relevant/specific projects.
  • Initiate and participate in Root Cause Analysis.

Critical Competencies:


  • Trade qualification, mechanical or electrical and/or tertiary qualification in Engineering.
  • Ideally at least five years' experience in maintenance or a food manufacturing environment. Prior facilities management experience beneficial.
  • Experience with compressed air systems, HVAC&R, Boilers and Steam, Plumbing, Fire Systems, Site Security.
  • Experience in directly coordinating external contractors with safety as a priority.
  • Good communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS maintenance software (MEX).
  • Good problem solving and reasoning skills. Ability to actively participate in or lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining safety and quality standards under tight timeframes.
  • Good financial management including ability to manage budgets and identify budget risks to the business.
