    We have anopportunity for a Legal Assistant to join our Property &Projects team based in our Brisbane office.

    This rolewill be proving administrative support to 3 - 4 authors including aPartner, Special Counsel, Senior Associate and a Lawyer.

    The idealcandidate will have experience in property law including realestate transactions or leasing.

    Keyresponsibilities

    Thesuccessful candidate will be responsible for:

    • openingfiles and new matters including conducting conflict of interestchecks;
    • conducting searches andobtaining certificates (property, company, index, bankruptcy,title);
    • pre-lodgement checkingof leases and amendments;
    • e-lodgement of leasesand amendments to leases;
    • generalaccounts work;
    • draftingand preparation of emails, letters and basicdocuments;
    • diarymanagement and booking of meetings;
    • compiling and editingdocuments;
    • printing, scanning andphotocopying of documents;
    • creditcard expense management;
    • organising travel andaccommodation; and
    • maintainpartners/lawyers' contacts in the firm's CRM,InterAction and assisting with list management on their behalffor events and communications.

    Skills andexperience

    We would liketo hear from candidates with the following skills andexperience:

    • minimumof five years' experience as a legalassistant;
    • propertylaw experience;
    • strongIT skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel;
    • strongunderstanding of the billing process;
    • experience in using alegal billing system (Aderant is desirable);
    • abilityto work under pressure and manage a high-volume workload;and
    • proactive and teamminded attitude.
