About the Role:

We are seeking an AO4 Correspondence Officer to join a State Government department on a full time temporary basis.


In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in shaping the communication landscape of the organization by drafting responses to Ministerial and Executive correspondence.


As a Correspondence Officer, you will collaborate with senior managers, providing high-level analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate a fast-paced work environment with conflicting priorities.


Key Responsibilities:

Drafting Correspondence: Craft articulate responses to Ministerial and Executive correspondence, ensuring precision, compliance with style guides, and meeting strict deadlines.

Liaison and Coordination: Collaborate closely with senior managers to formulate responses, coordinating approvals to ensure timely completion of correspondence.

Analytical Expertise: Bring forth high-level analytical and problem-solving skills, exercising initiative and sound judgment to develop innovative solutions in a dynamic work environment with conflicting deadlines and priorities.

Workflow System Support: Provide expert advice and support to QRO staff in the utilization of the Correspondence Workflow System and associated tools, templates, and guidelines.

Record Keeping: Ensure compliance with record-keeping standards, managing information effectively to enable informed decision-making.

Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain effective relationships with senior executives, key contacts across QRO, Treasury, external clients, and stakeholders, ensuring the professional image of QRO is upheld.

Team Collaboration: Actively participate as a team member, contributing to the achievement of the objectives of the Office of the Commissioner.

General Administration: Provide general administrative and project support, undertaking additional duties as required to support the smooth functioning of the office.

Communication Skills: Well-developed written and interpersonal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

Relationship Building: Ability to build and sustain relationships, facilitating collaborative delivery of customer-focused outcomes.
