We are currently seeking Poultry Hands to join our team. Part-Time and Full-Time opportunities available. No experience is necessary as all training will be provided.

About the role:

As Poultry Hand, you will be responsible for the following;

Conduct routine checks on all feed, water and lighting within the sheds;
Perform repairs on equipment as required;
Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential issues before they escalate;
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment; and
Keep accurate records;

Skills and Attributes required to be successful:

A passion for agriculture;
Willingness to strictly adhere to the required animal welfare, biosecurity, and health and safety guidelines and regulations;
Previous experience in the poultry industry is not essential, but would be highly regarded;
Current valid drivers' licence;
Be prepared to work as part of a team, but be able to work autonomously when required;
Reliable, punctual and motivated;
Good attention to detail;
Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to carry out a range of different tasks; and
Good written and verbal communication skills.

You must not have any birds, pigs or poultry at home, and you must not regularly come into contact with birds, pigs or poultry in order to work at McLean Farms.
