To meet market demands and continue operating at our high standards, KangaTech is seeking a Melbourne based General Manager who's a proactive, hands-on and inspirational leader.

This person should have experience in overseeing business operations inclusive of sales, customer success, marketing and technology.


To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should have a proven track record of success in a B2B technology company.

You should also have a passion for sports technology and a commitment to providing exceptional service to all internal and external stakeholders.

You will need to assist in the development and implementation of KangaTech's strategic and operational plans and financial performance.


Objectives of this role

  • Review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivational work environment, and pursuing innovation.
  • Adhere to company standards for excellence and quality.
  • Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships and driving sales performance.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas.
  • Be 'handson' in achieving operational excellence and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daytoday operations, assign and assess performance goals, and manage company performance and cash flow.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train highperforming employees to achieve objectives for sales, customer success, marketing and technology.
  • Assist teams with customer relationships and business development
  • Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans.
  • Delegate responsibilities to the bestqualified employees and enforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values.
  • Provide support to the CEO and Board of Directors in the form of reporting, market analysis and financial modelling.

Required skills and qualifications.

  • Proven success in a managerial role.
  • Strong decisionmaking ability.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, collaboration, and delegation skills
  • Proven ability to develop and achieve financial plans.
  • Ability to motivate and lead employees and hold them accountable.
  • Strong working knowledge of the sports technology industry.
  • Comfortable working towards sales and customer retention targets as well as technology delivery deadlines.

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business management, leadership, or field related to sports technology.
  • Proven experience in managing a globally distributed team.
  • Proven experience in scaling commercial, technical and operational business functions.
