The function is made up of over 2,000 professionals, working across the Executive and Regions in the following areas of specialism: Brand; Marketing; PR/Media Relations & External Communications; Internal Communications & Employee Engagement; Corporate communications.


BMC also includes a number of teams who are responsible for content development, editorial, webcasts, events-staging, strategy, planning and operations.

The opportunity


EY in Asia-Pacific (APAC) has been leading revenue growth at EY for several years and going from strength to strength.

The Asia-Pacific Area is high-growth, innovative, culturally rich and diverse, and consists of six Regions including: ASEAN, Greater China, Japan, Korea, Oceania, and the Asia-Pacific Financial Services Organization.

The Asia-Pacific Consulting Communications and Engagement (C&E) Assistant Director contract role will join BMC for 6 months. In this role, you will work closely with Global, Area and Region teams supporting the Consulting service line.

Reporting to the Asia-Pacific Consulting BMC Leader, you will work closely with the Asia-Pacific Consulting Managing Partner, the Global Consulting C&E Leader and the broader Asia-Pacific BMC team to internally communicate and engage our people and partners in the Consulting practice and beyond.


Your key responsibilities


The Asia-Pacific Consulting C&E Leader role will primarily drive the delivery of internal communications programs in line with the broader integrated Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) plan.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the Asia-Pacific Consulting BMC leader to create and continuously improve strategic C&E programs that align with Consulting business priorities and the Asia-Pacific Consulting BMC strategy, to achieve strong business results and exceptional internal engagement.
  • Manage relationships with key Consulting stakeholders across the BMC organization and across Asia-Pacific.
  • Produce written and visual internal communications from Asia-Pacific Consulting Leaders and provide counsel on best practice and communication innovations.
  • Work with the Asia-Pacific Consulting Talent function in communicating and engaging Consulting people across Asia-Pacific on the broad talent agenda.
  • Work collaboratively with Region BMC teams within Asia-Pacific to support deployment of Global and Asia-Pacific programs, and highlight local challenges and successes to the Executive team.
  • Represent Asia-Pacific in global work streams to ensure programs resonate in the Area.
  • Provide guidance, information and support to enable successful deployment of relevant internal programs.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Minimum eight years of strategic internal communications experience with a global organization and/or complex organization, with a proven track record supporting executive teams.
  • Proven ability to influence and build collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience of working effectively in a crosscultural/crosstime zone environment for multiple stakeholders and audiences, including with virtual highperforming teams.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent area of study) in Communications, Corporate Communications, Marketing Communications, or Public Relations.

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Experience in change management comms would be an advantage
  • Experience with communications metrics management and evaluation
  • Experience working with geographically diverse teams
