Supply Chain Finance Analyst

Currently we are recruiting for a Supply Chain Finance Analyst.

This role will be a business partner to the Supply Chain Team (covering both Operations and Logistics), providing strategic decision support, results analysis and driving accountability to deliver the financial commitments of the business.

This position drives process improvement, planning, financial control and compliance in the supply chain function of Goodman Fielder. This role primarily supports the supply chain movements across Australia but will also be involved in strategic projects in the end-to-end business


Key accountabilities:


  • Contribute to the financial inputs for the integrated business planning (Strategic Plan, Budget and S&OP) process relating to the Supply Chain network.
  • Ensure all financial inputs to the Integrated business planning processes are robust and owned by the Supply Chain and understand gaps to budget, including risks and opportunities.
  • Support in the consolidation and monitoring of strategic projects.
  • Partner with Supply Chain team to ensure they deliver on their functional commitments as part of the business long term targets.
  • Determine key cost drivers and measure performance against targets.
  • Provide insightful commentary on financial performance identifying opportunities to drive EBIT improvement.
  • Initiate, recommend and implement Supply Chain efficiencies or process improvement opportunities. Alignment with national standard solutions should be achieved wherever possible.
  • Assist scenario modelling and work with Supply Chain Finance team to drive profit delivery initiatives.
  • Perform product costing, utilisation analysis and supply chain & management reporting.
  • Prepare financial forecasts, and understand gaps to budget, including risks and opportunities.
  • Provide business partnering support and build strong working relationship to the Supply Chain Finance & Commercial Finance teams to ensure clear visibility is communicated throughout business planning process.
  • Drive Compliance of business processes & procedures within Supply Chain function.
  • Assist in creating business case financials for all Supply Chain projects including Supply Chain contract tenders, ensuring key risks and alternatives are considered.
  • Monitor performance on all Supply Chain Finance projects against EBIT targets.
  • Review and maintain strong control environment, with documented controls and procedures in place. Input and review through ongoing selfassessment of supply chain controls to deliver clean Internal and External audit reports.
  • Improve tools, templates and systems used in the planning and forecasting process to ensure robustness of submissions with improved easy and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Degree Qualified (Commerce or Finance)
  • 13 years analytical business partnering experience in a fastpaced supply chain environment including manufacturing, freight, distribution & stock control. May also suit a graduate looking to develop their finance career
  • Strong SAP experience, preferably as a Super User or designing process solutions and other systems (Business Intelligence, Excel and reporting tools)
