Iconic Australian organisation steeped in history, with a broad suite of product and service lines is seeking a People and Culture Advisor to join their collaborative team.

Reporting to the People and Culture Business Partner, the People & Culture Advisor provides high quality, professional, accurate and responsive advice to stakeholders on a range of relevant People & Culture matters, ensuring P&C practices comply with legislative requirements, including the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements.


The P&C Advisor will also support the P&C Business Partners in rolling out programs and initiatives, while also working collaboratively as part of the broader Shared Services team by personally contributing to continuous improvement of service delivery and sharing knowledge to deliver best practice outcomes for the business.


You will be responsible for:


  • Employee Relations provide advice and guidance to people leaders and employees on workplace relations matters, including relevant industrial instruments, applicable employment related legislation and internal policies
  • Coach and support people leaders on the end to end management of ER/IR matters involving performance management, absence management, grievances, conduct and behaviour to build capability and ensure managers are informed and supported to lead effectively
  • Escalate matters as appropriate in accordance with agreed processes and framework while maintaining visibility of case management and service levels
  • Maintain proactive awareness of the IR landscape and legislative changes
  • Business Partnering Support support the P&C Business Partners in rolling out programs and initiatives that assist the business in meeting their strategic objectives
  • Provide support and coordination for cyclic people activities to ensure successful delivery

You will have:


  • Relevant qualification in HR or related discipline
  • 3+ years' experience in an HR advisory position
  • Proven capability in end to end management of ER matters and strong knowledge and understanding of the ER / IR legislative framework
  • Excellent influencing and relationship building skills with demonstrated ability to engage and win stakeholders to execute new HR initiatives, concepts and projects
  • A practical, servicedriven, resilient style with a high level of maturity and a grounded approach. Your presence and actions will inspire confidence with the stakeholders with whom you work
  • Ability to weigh up risks and consequences to make sound commercial decisions or escalate matters appropriately
  • Work accurately and efficiently under pressure in a fastpaced environment while maintaining a professional outlook and a high degree of discretion and confidentiality
  • Effective problemsolving skills and high level of oral and written communication skills
  • Accountability, results and customer focussed approach and drive for excellence
  • Experience with the Fair Work Commission will be highly regarded
