We have a great opportunity for an experienced Dental Assistant to join an exiting team. This is a part-time position and is based in Geraldton.

As a Dental Assistant you will help prepare work areas for patient treatment and prepare the materials and instruments that will be required during a dental procedure.

Assist the dentist while treatments are being carried out.

This will include mixing materials for fillings, passing the dentist equipment and recording information as the dentist carries out an examination.

Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and setting up instrument trays.


Key Duties:

  • Providing great patient care.
  • Recording treatment information in patient records.
  • Exposing dental xrays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental xray equipment.
  • Caring for dental equipment.
  • Maintaining a dental supplies inventory by checking inventory levels and anticipating shortages.
Hours of work: 5 days a week. Mon and Tue until 8pm. Wed, Thur and Fri 9am to 5pm. Some days off and some days may be shorter based on the amount of patients.


Selection Criteria:

  • Certification or associate degree in an accredited dental assisting program. Experience as a Dental Assistant or Dental Nurse will also be accepted.
  • Dental xray certification.
  • Completion of Dental Hygiene Program.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Consistently professional appearance and attitude.
  • Able to provide great patient care.
  • Willing to learn and follow instructions
  • Own vehicle and Full License
  • Local preferred
