About the opportunity
Collaborate with the creative team to create, curate and plan social media content using our social media content planner. Makedo's social media ecosystem is comprised of Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook.

Oversee the implementation of our content on social media following best practice guidelines, monitor trends, and look for innovation and testing opportunities.

Support community management and assist with periodic reporting and analytics.


Organisational and time management skills are required including the ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines, and manage multiple and often conflicting priorities.


Social Media Coordinator Job Responsibilities:


  • Nurture and grow our community of 60+ content creators.
  • Execute a resultsdriven social media strategy.
  • Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms.
  • Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content.
  • Maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels.
  • Assist in the development of a dynamic social media calendar.
  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends.
  • Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.
  • Review analytics and create reports on key metrics.
  • Assist in the development and management of social media marketing and influencer marketing strategy.
  • Report to Marketing Manager.
  • Ad hoc responsibilities including packing orders and customer service.

Work Hours:

Three days/24 hours per week with the possibility to grow into a full time role. Work from our modern, light-filled office in Abbotsford, Melbourne. Includes flexible hours and the option to work from home ad hoc as necessary.

Where social media virality occurs there is an expectation to be available to respond as it is unfolding regardless of the day of the week.


Salary:

$50,000 to $60,000 pro rata 3 days per week plus Super.


Social Media Coordinator Qualifications / Skills:

  • Passion for social media and proficiency with major social media platforms and social media management tools
  • Proficiency with video and photo editing tools and digital media formats.
  • Excellent social listening skills
  • Ability to understand historical, current, and future trends in the digital content and social media space
  • Strong copywriting and copy editing skills
  • Topnotch oral and verbal communication skills
  • Impeccable time management skills with the ability to multitask
  • Detailoriented approach with ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines

Education and Experience Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field
  • 13 years experience with D2C social media marketing or content development
  • Direct experience using social media management tools
  • Experience with Google Workspace preferable
  • Canva or equivalent digital media editing tools a plus

Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 24 per week


Salary:

$ $230.00 per day
