Queen's Wharf Brisbane - The world-class entertainment precinct that captures the heart of Brisbane


Set for a staged opening in the second half of 2023, Queen's Wharf Brisbane will transform the CBD and river's edge into Queensland's newest entertainment and leisure destination.


Scores of restaurants, cafes and bars, the iconic Sky Deck 100 metres above the river with its 360 degree sweeping views, and the open-air Leisure Deck sitting atop the podium and between all four towers will create new destinations for residents and visitors to enjoy.


The $3.6 billion Queen's Wharf Brisbane development is being delivered by Destination Brisbane Consortium - a joint venture led by The Star Entertainment Group alongside its partners.


When complete, Queen's Wharf Brisbane will deliver four new luxury hotels, more than 50 new food and beverage experiences, significant luxury retail, the restoration of nine heritage buildings, and around 1,500 residential apartments.


It's a foundation on which thousands of great careers will be built and now we are looking for an experienced
Internal Communications Advisor to join the pre-opening project team based in Brisbane.


About your new role


Reporting to the Communications Manager, This role will drive employee engagement by bringing our strategy, priorities, and values to life as well assisting in providing support and advice to our Leaders and their teams.

The role will also support the design and upgrade of internal communications channels to engage, inform, and inspire employees and keep them up to date with property updates.


  • Ensure all property communications are tailored to the property as required.
  • Work with project teams to ensure proposed internal/team members changes, initiatives and campaigns are successfully communicated.
  • Work with property leaders to provide effective internal communications advice and support.
  • Support in the delivery of content and management of all communications channels including, but not limited to, Town Halls, Leaders Forums, Newsletters, Intranet, Yammer, leader videos and employee activations.
  • Attend external businessrelated functions, events and/or activities (including the need to do so outside of standard business hours as required).
  • Actively participate and provide internal communications support for one of the Diversity & Inclusion groups.


You will also play a key role partnering with the project team, ensuring that all pre-opening work for the property is seamless, allowing the group to open on time, on budget and achieve the business and departmental objectives.

To be successful in this role you will have

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business/Communications/PR/ Media or other related discipline from a recognised educational institution (Strongly preferred).
  • Solid understanding, and preferably three to five years' experience, in Internal Communications in a corporate environment (compulsory).
  • Strong computer literacy in Microsoft products (Sharepoint, Yammer, Powerpoint, Word, Excel, Canva) with preferable experience in video content editing and design.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to confidently lead discussions and manage expectations and demands of stakeholders across multiple jobs.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communicates clearly and in an engaging manner.
