Melbourne CBD, permanent with flexible hybrid arrangement

The Role


Reporting to the Head of Estimation and Commercial the
Pricing Analyst will assist the Bid Estimating team to plan and coordinate pricing to maximise success in tendering for new business bids.

Using a flexible and adaptable approach the responsibilities include:

  • Preparing accurate cost estimates by analysing proposals and requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining contract specific database of estimating information to enable estimation benchmarks.
  • Providing bid team with timely reliable and relevant financial pricing information necessary for decision making processes.
  • Preparing, issuing, and tracking all subcontractor packages required or tenders.
  • Analysing and modelling Key Performance Regimes scenarios.
  • Assisting with the coordination and control of the pricing content and risks for all allocated tenders.
  • Be an active member of the bid team from capture development to contract award, including participation in contract negotiation and cost investigations as required.
  • Preparing the pricing and financial outputs using the standard tools and the standard process and pricing parameters as advised by the Head of Client Solutions.
  • Developing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.

Skills & Experience

  • A high level of demonstrated proficiency in Excel (advanced), Word, and Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Proficient in data manipulation, mapping, and cleansing.
  • Strong communication skills to communicate information and ideas effectively.
  • Able to respond quickly to change and adopt a flexible/ innovative approach to problems and opportunities.
  • Proven experience in working within a Facilities Management, Project Management, Construction, or similar industry.

Essential

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, accounting, finance, engineering, or technical background
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience
