  • Use Tableau to create and maintain Risk reporting
  • Permanent position based in Brisbane

The Role


As a Risk Reporting Analyst, you will support the uplift risk oversight, reporting and management activities through technical delivery of reporting in Tableau.

The Risk Reporting team support the development of reporting assets for operations, management reporting and oversight.


This role offers exposure to the operations across the Suncorp group and provides the opportunity to develop and maintain long lasting relationships with stakeholders and to contribute to taking Suncorp's data capabilities to the next level.


Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for the delivery of timely and quality risk data and reporting services to facilitate effective and efficient decision making to support the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and Compliance Frameworks. This includes providing input into the scope of data work to be delivered through interfacing with business, data and risk stakeholders
  • Responsible technical development and maintenance of reporting output (requirements gathering, data sourcing, preparation and presentation) with the support of the broader risk data and reporting team and providing regular status updates to the Risk Reporting Manager, Reporting Advisors, and relevant business stakeholder/s where required
  • Execute activities to analyse, consolidate, and aggregate relevant risk information for internal and external reporting
  • Produce high quality output that provides insights and guidance to improve control environments and validate risk management practices. This includes the effective use of data visualisation to generate relevant, meaningful and impactful insights
  • Articulate key data observations using clear and concise verbal and written communication
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and continuous improvement of the services provided by the Risk function through teamwork, innovation, and input into strategic initiatives
  • Drive a continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on demonstrating value and insight through effective data analysis
  • Collaborate across the broader Risk community and provide guidance to team members to uplift data analysis capability by:
  • Providing informal on-the-job training to share skills and expertise
  • Sharing knowledge and showcasing completed work
  • Support risk data governance including system data integrity testing
  • Maintain and communicate appropriate work and delivery priorities and plans for key objectives, activities, and deliverables
  • Assist the Risk Data & Analytics and broader Risk team as required

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated relevant experience: 2+ years in a data centric role performing reporting and analytics across disparate data sources to solve business problems, including building fit for purpose tools
  • Intermediate data visualisation experience in Tableau (
    Mandatory)
  • Intermediate technical capability in SQL Server / Redshift, in addition to advanced MS Excel. Other relevant technical experience beneficial but not essential
  • Experience working in Financial Services and/or Risk is desired but not essential
