My client is a leading steel fabricator in Brisbane and is responsible for some of the most prominent buildings in South-East Queensland.

We are seeking a Team Leader to lead a small team of detailers to facilitate an impressive growth plan.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Team Leader looking for a new challenge in an exciting business or a senior detailer looking to take the next step in a fully supported leadership role.

The role

Managing team, subcontractors and strategic initiatives.
Completing modelling and checking drawings for all projects using Tekla.
Ensure the Project Managers are informed of any changes (variations, EOT's and claims) to minimise commercial exposure and maximise profitability where possible.
Work with the Estimating team to ensure all possible variations are considered for pricing projects.
Production coordination and planning.
Conduct site measures for custommade elements of a design to fit site requirements.
Interpret architectural, engineering, hydraulic and civil plans to complete the design.
Liaise with customers, designers, architects, engineers and interfacing trades.
Proficiency with Tekla structures software.
Advanced knowledge of steel manufacturing and fabrication.
5+ years' experience working within a drafting office.
Expert knowledge of structural steel design and its implications.
Team Leadership experience a bonus
Strong knowledge of building codes.
Excellent communication skills and able to articulate to a variety of stakeholders and clients.
