About the role:


As a Strategy Business Partner in our Strategy and Transformation team within Coles Own Brand, you'll support the development of key programs of work that will accelerate Own Brand growth in the business units towards our strategic aspirations.


Working closely with the Business Units and Own Brand teams, you'll drive the development of strategic recommendations based on leading edge insights, to drive a sustainable competitive advantage.

This is a six month, fixed-term position.


You'll also:

  • Drive the assessment of business and category performance and understanding of domestic and international competitive trends, to continually assess and evolve our Own Brand strategy
  • Lead complex commercial modelling and analysis to support the evaluation of strategic business opportunities and a wide array of deepdive projects work to drive growth, share and financial performance within the business units
  • Support communication of strategic plans and achievements to the ELT and Board
  • Support the strategic category planning process for Own Brand, working in close partnership with Finance and other business unit teams

About you and your skills:


This position will suit a skillset with sound experience in business strategy and finance, as well as the ability to problem solve and deliver strategic solutions.


You'll also need:

  • Degree qualification in either Business, Finance, Accounting or Engineering and have 45 years' experience in a similar role (analyst, consultant, etc.)
  • Proven track record in developing strategies, problem solving, complex modelling and project management
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic focus
  • Solid presentation and communication skills, including development of compelling presentation materials
  • Sound relationship building skills
  • Experience working with senior leaders and cross functional teams
  • Team player motivation, with cando attitude and ability to work to tight deadlines
